The University of Houston's Quality Teacher Recruitment and Assistance Consortium (Q-TRAC) was created to address a critical shortage of secondary-level teachers in the fields of mathematics and science. Q-TRAC's graduate program prepares math and science teachers for placement in high-need school districts.
Q-TRAC offers:
. An accelerated teacher certification program
. Financial support up to $2,500 a semester
. Academic and field-based mentoring
. Employment assistance
. Specialized training in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education

Q-TRAC candidates may be eligible for certification in as few as three terms. Scholarships of are available for program participants, as well as loans with special reimbursement rewards.And most of your certification coursework may be applied toward a master's degree. Once certified, you'll be in high demand.
